At the Nov. 12 School Board meeting, the Hopkins Adaptive Team, the Robins, was honored for their outstanding teamwork and commitment to excellence. Adaptive sports provide students with disabilities the opportunity to thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. The Robins embody the true spirit of sportsmanship—building strength, confidence, friendships, and a strong sense of community.
As Coach Scott Childers shared:
"We may not measure success in wins and losses, but this team’s heart, passion, and support for one another are unmatched. They play hard, cheer louder, and exemplify what it means to be united. Coaching this team has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career."
